Dr McMahon is wonderful. I was a patient of another gynecologist who left the practice a number of years ago and I was randomly assigned Dr McMahon. I’ve been very happy with her. She is very personable and thorough. She goes above and beyond my pelvi exam and makes sure she addresses my whole health and mental health as well. I highly recommend her.

While I’ve been a patient of Dr. Norlin’s since around 2008 and always have loved my experiences with her, I had the pleasure of seeing nurse Molly my last visit and she was an absolute gem. Was prompt, very calming and provided excellent advice and information, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. I can’t recommend them both enough.

The entire experience has been great so far: from making my initial appointment to the amount of support and information given during the visit. I didn’t have an existing gynecologist before getting pregnant and needing prenatal care so I truly had no idea what I was doing; they were easy to work with and helped me feel very prepared for what the process would be like as we go through pregnancy. Also, the patient portal is easy to use and the communication is top notch.

Dr.McMahon is the best. She’s a great listener and always makes me feel like I’m taken care of. Have been seeing her for about 10 years. Love her. I’m also happy that she’s been training with the menopause society and keeping up to date with all things perimenopause.

I’ve been with Dr. Wise for close to three decades. She’s the absolute best. She has delivered my youngest son and delivered my eldest son. Wouldn’t have it any other way.The energy at the front desk is somewhat pretentious, but once you get past that the remaining staff are enthusiastic, lovely energy and their nurse drawing blood, and I am sorry for not remembering his name, his craft. I barely feel a pinch every time.Love this establishment!

I cannot recommend the Northwestern Specialists for Women more highly. My experience with this practice ranges from baseline care (annual well woman visit) to fertility / trying to conceive, to pregnancy and postpartum. At every step and in every situation I have felt extremely well cared for. Everyone at the practice between providers, MAs, admin staff are incredibly personable and professional. An excellent experience all around.

Dr. Kimberly McMahon is an excellent doctor. She truly cares for her patients. She is very patient and actively listens to you to understand your concerns to provide you with an optimal treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. She is also very knowlegeable and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. McMahon to others who want to seek optimal health and well-being.

This was my first time going for a check up and I was pretty nervous! Dr. Rich was incredible, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. My first visit was amazing and she explained everything to me. My second visit went well too. The woman who did my ultrasound made sure I was okay every step of the way! One thing I would mention though, is that I did not like that things weren’t explained to me as well! I get that things are maybe okay but patients may not know that and will think the worst. I did ask questions but I wished it was explained to me better what was going on! But overall, it was great and I will be going back in the future.

I can’t speak highly enough about Northwestern Specialists for Women. I have never met a more caring group of physicians who consistently go above and beyond for their patients. I’ve seen them for routine gynecological care, prenatal appointments, and delivery — and, unfortunately, most recently, for miscarriage confirmation. Throughout every stage of care, the physicians and staff at Northwestern Specialists for Women were exceptional and made even the most painful moments bearable.

I love Dr. Lisa Mazzullo! I had my three kids under her care and I had the best experience. Besides her unlimited knowledge in her field, she always treated me with passion, empathy and made me feel very comfortable. I strongly recommend her for her expertise and her passion in delivering excellent care. Facility is very impressive and staff were very kind.

Dr. Edelman is very warm, personable, and has an incredible ability to put you at ease from the moment you walk into the room. Every procedure I’ve had with her has been the most comfortable and positive experience I’ve ever had with an OB-GYN. She takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel like genuinely cares about your well-being. I highly recommend!

I have been extremely dissatisfied with the services here. After meeting with doc mazulo she not only pretended to have seen me before despite being a new patient, but also made me extremely uncomfortable with her unprofessionalism, asking “where are you meeting all of these boys?” like a mother-figure during an honest vulnerable appointment for STI screenings (I am nearing twenty-five).That was last year. This year, I changed doctors but later accidentally scheduled to this practice because of a phone number issue… and still was disappointed after returning for a new visit. Molly, NP, was absolutely great and informative and kind, but also was dressed extremely casually (in a sundress), which really just made the visit feel like a stranger giving me a pap smear. After days of receiving no call, I called the front desk reception Yolanda, who was less than helpful achieving my test results, as well as had little empathy for my experiences here. She stated “I see here the test results are in,” yet said someone would “give me a call.” This practice was all-in-all terrible and I wouldn’t wish this kind of experience on any woman. Oh! And on top of all of that “we’ll give you a call,” they even had the wrong phone number for me in their system. I also have been trying to get records transferred to my new practice, but haven’t been able to get ahold of the medical records department. And one last point of interest— I called in before my appointment to say I’d be arriving 15 minutes later because of a brutal accident on the highway getting downtown, and they rescheduled the entire thing for a new time which was absurd, as they cancel reschedule or charge for anything 15 minutes or after, despite calling at least an hour beforehand.After all of this, I did not feel taken care of at this practice— and if you’ve read this far, I don’t think you would either.

Kind and patient front desk staff and phlebotomists that take care of you before you even realize it’s over. Dr. McMahon is the best doctor I’ve ever seen. She makes you feel heard and understood in a way I haven’t experienced in the past. This team takes the stress out of any appointment, go here!

I have been coming to The Northwestern Specialist for Women for the last 10 years. I am so happy that I have found them. There was a time when I was struggling with miscarriages, and they showed me a lot of support and SYMPATHY at a hard time of my life. One of the main reasons I switched to NSFW is because I have always left my appointments feeling acknowledged of all of my concerns. I never feel rushed out; they listen to me. Also, #1 reason I love this office is because everyone is very friendly. The doctors and staff are super warm and supportive. I always recommend this office to family and friends.

All of the doctors are very kind and have good bedside manner. I have had two deliveries with the practice with Dr. Dugan-Kim and Dr. Edelman and am very happy with my care for both. Little wait time after you check in for your appointments. Nurses are also very nice and helpful.

I’ve been going to Dr. Wise for the past eight years, and I can’t say enough good things about this practice. I’ve had two amazing experiences delivering my babies—Dr. Wise delivered our first, and Dr. Edelman delivered our second. I feel incredibly lucky to have had such great care, but I know it’s not just luck—this team is truly exceptional. Their expertise, compassion, and support made all the difference. I highly recommend both Dr. Wise and Dr. Edelman—they are wonderful!

The entire staff here is amazing! Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome! All of the doctors have a great bedside manner as well! Everyone I have interacted with has been wonderful!Special thanks and shout out to Dr. V who has helped me safely deliver both my boys! Im so glad I found Dr. Rich—she is truly the best! She’s incredibly kind, caring, and takes the time to ask thoughtful questions. Her empathy and dedication are evident in every visit, and I highly recommend her to anyone. Patty in ultrasound is also amazing! She made me feel completely at ease during a procedure I was extremely nervous about. I cant recommend this place enough!

Overall I have really enjoyed this practice and the doctors and nurses I have had. So far in my pregnancy, I have seen 6 different OBGYNs and 4/6 were wonderful - very patient, knowledgeable, kind, and made me feel educated and empowered as a patient. Additionally, they are very responsive when messaging in the portal or calling the nurse’s line, which has been fantastic when filing for work related items or chatting through a question or concern and learning next steps. That being said, I have had two OBGYNs who did not leave a great impression - fairly patronizing with an off putting tone in response to some questions I had that were not dumb or out of left-field questions. Since you never know who will be on call during delivery, having these experiences has certainly not made me feel great about the possibility of them being my providers during L&D and adds to the mental load of anticipation.**EDIT 3/18/2025 - I tried to call the number listed below after receiving the reply and it was a disconnected number.

Received a text 3 1/2 hours before my appointment saying “please arrive 30 minutes early”. Apparently this translates to “we’ll cancel your appointment and make you reschedule if you’re not 30 minutes early”. I would have arrived early if it was clearly stated that this was a requirement and that it would risk a reschedule. Seems like I’m not the only one who experienced this.I was also unable to submit my forms online prior because they put my incorrect date of birth. Such a waste of time and paid for the parking garage to fill out a form and be told to reschedule. Will definitely be looking for a new provider. At least the front desk staff was still polite despite everything.

I love this place. Dr. Salasche is so friendly and welcoming, it makes the visits so much better. She also has a great sense of fashion :) I love the fact that she is very proactive. They have an ultrasound team on site. So, if they find something that needs further review, the doc sends you right away to get an ultrasound!!! Peace of mind! Nothing worse than having to go home and wait to make another appointment and you keep thinking about it. Shout out to Eric too. The assistant who took me back and took my vitals….so friendly and funny. Over all I give them a 10+ and highly recommend you try them out.

I’ve been going to Northwestern Specialist for Women for over 14 years and delivered 3 babies with them. I’ve seen all of the doctors there and they are all great! They have great bedside manner and really take the time to get to know their patients. The care is top notch. The staff is friendly and polite and helpful. The office space is always clean and tidy and welcoming.

I recently had my first child and saw Dr. Salasche before, during, and after the birth. She and the other doctors at this practice are excellent - I had a few complications throughout my pregnancy and I was always seen promptly and felt very well cared for, it made a big difference knowing I was in good hands. My labor and delivery experience was also great. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Salasche!

Love love love Dr. V. BEST Doc ever. She is attentive and thorough and non-judgmental. She is a provider I am actually excited to see when I am due for my annual physical. I have referred everyone I know to her and cannot sing her praises enough. She calms you off the edge but also educates you on any areas of improvement. Ive been a loyal patient for many many years and cannot recommend her enough. The office staff is great as well. The decor and space is nice and inviting. The lab staff is awesome and provides virtually pain free blood draws. All in all, a great place for all of your gyn needs. I love this place and specifically my doctor...Dr. Venkatachalam 😊

I had a wonderful first visit with Dr Edelman today, she’s a great addition to their team of Drs! I’ve been a patient at the practice since before my 10 and 8 year old kids were born, both via c-section with a Dr from the practice. Dr Edelman knew my chart, talked to me like a friend in the most professional manner, and was as gentle as can be. I’d recommend her to anyone!

I had high hopes for this place since the reviews are good but they only care about their pocket at the end of the day. I called to setup an appointment for my first pregnancy ever and the lady sounded happy to help but when I told her I would like to pay out of pocket her voice changed and said I could leave a voicemail with the billing department. I left a voicemail and never received a call back. Of course they want insurance because of the astronomical markup. They don’t care about their patients at the end of the day.

Dr. Mazzullo is wonderful — she takes the time to listen; she offers great input and guidance. I feel comfortable with her caring for me, and delivering my sons. I trust her completely.

I’ve been seeing Dr.McMahon for a couple years now and she’s the best. She spends adequate time with her patients to ensure they’re cared for but is also efficient. I recommend her to all my friends!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mazzullo’s for five years and cannot say enough amazing things about her as a physician, surgeon, and someone who cares about and gets to know her patients. Dr. Mazzullo supported me through some very difficult moments and I am so glad to have had her then and to still call her my doctor now.

I had a new patient appointment with Dana S. NP today and I truly couldn’t have anticipated a better experience. She was patient, thorough, kind and extremely knowledgeable.

They’ve been super helpful when I found out early on I was pregnant. They really do care for their patients, and educated me to their best. Everyone is super friendly. Special shout out to Dr. Lederer, she has eased my anxiety through this whole ordeal with her calm and collected demeanor.

Dr Wise is wonderful, caring doctor. I was with my previous doctor for almost 30 years and thought I would never switch. But when he told me I didnt need care after having a hysterectomy, I switched over to Dr. Wise and have never looked back!

This is by far the best experience I’ve had at a doctors office. Dr. Natasha Rich went above and beyond and really listened to my questions and concerns. I finally have answers to things I’ve been looking for answers to for years! Such a relief to receive such great care. Highly recommend.

I can’t recommend this practice enough. The entire staff - front desk, scheduling department, nurses and OBs are the best! I’ve felt incredibly cared for during my pregnancy, and am always impressed with how timely all of my appointments have been without ever feeling rushed.

Dr. Melissa Dugan-Kim has been by OB for many years and she got me through my first pregnancy. Nothing but wonderful things to say. She is very calm and chill. My delivering OB was Dr. Mazzullo, (on call that night). I had a wonderful experience with my c-section due to my baby being breech. She held my hands during my spinal block and got my mind off what is happening. Being from the medical field, I had way too many things going on in my head! Every OB that came to round the following days was awesome as well.My only problem will be that once I transition my benefits to tricare (military) I won’t be able to go there anymore. Can we change this?!? Please!!!!

I really like this office. I have been a patient of Dr Mazzullo’s for a long time. I have had appointments with a lot of the other providers as well (Beth, Dr McMahon, Dana, and Molly) and have always been extremely confident in the care I have received. Everyone is so friendly and patient and the care that is provided is excellent.

I love Dr. Salasche and Dr. Dugan-Kim. I’ve been going to them through the births of all three of my boys and now as I go into my perimenopause years. They are patient, thorough and the best at what they do! Highly recommend!

I’ve had an incredibly positive experience at this practice! I delivered my first son through this practice and am now expecting my 2nd, and they’ve been a highly supportive team that takes the time with patients.

Dr. V is awesome and professional. The staff is all very nice as well. From the minute you walk in till you walk out everyone is so nice and very friendly. Shout out to Scott the anesthesiologist he was awesome as well, friendly and professional.

I never leave reviews but this experience really soured me. I set up a new patient appointment and received numerous emails and texts prior about the appointment and checking in, including one the morning of, none of which explained that I needed to arrive 30 (30!) minutes early or my appointment would be cancelled (although they claimed I did, I have the emails and texts that show this is not the case). I arrived 10 minutes early and was told I needed to reschedule, and now have to wait another 3 weeks to be seen. For something that takes months to get into in the first place, something like this needs to be made much more clear. Even if I had received the 1 text saying this that they claim was sent only one day before my appointment, why did I receive 10+ others over a week and a half that made no mention? Realizing I’m maybe oversensitive because I just lost my mom to uterine cancer and felt like I really needed this check up, it’s still shocking to me that I can arrive early to an appointment and be told I’m too late. What a complete waste of my time.

The best physicians and healthcare! Dr. McMahon has always been amazing and so has the staff. I travel back to town for the care I receive there. It’s worth flying across the country for their dedicated healthcare.

I had an annual exam with Dr Dugan-Kim. She was great! I’ve had bad experiences with doctors in the past and she made me feel so comfortable. I’m so happy with my experience at Northwestern Specialists for Women and to have found a doctor that I trust.

The most amazing staff works here. It was my first time visiting and I just cannot rave enough about every person that took care of me here. It literally felt like I was at a 5star hotel. Whoever is in charge of the training I can tell does a great job. 👏🏽 well done team you guys are outstanding!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Wise for about 14 years. She really takes her time and LISTENS. As a person who has experienced some complications over the years her sensitivity has been invaluable. I greatly appreciate her extensive knowledge and ability to provide expertise at all stages of life. In my opinion, she is the BEST.

My physician provided personalized care that thoroughly addressed all of my concerns. She also took the time to discuss preventive care and recommended age-appropriate screenings, ensuring a comprehensive approach to my health.

I couldn’t be happier with the care I receive at Dr. Mazzullo’s office. Having access to a mammogram on-site is so convenient, saving me a trip to the hospital. The staff is absolutely wonderful—warm, professional, and efficient. Dr. Mazzullo is, without a doubt, the best gynecologist I’ve ever had. She truly listens to my concerns and takes them seriously. Instead of offering generic advice or quick fixes, she works with me to create personalized care plans and regularly checks in to make adjustments as needed. Absolutely LOVE Dr. Norlin and will follow her anywhere she goes because she’s an excellent and extremely relatable and attentive doctor but absolutely awful customer service. Showed up 40 minutes early to my appointment just to be told doctor is running an hour behind from my originally scheduled appointment so now I have been waiting for 90 minutes. Why do they make you show up 30 minutes early if the doctor will be running behind schedule? They don’t respect your time especially given that you take time out of your work day to make your appointment work. Another patient had also been waiting 50+ min for her ultrasound. Atrocious communication and very disorganized management. Never had these issues seeing Dr. Norlin at her old practice.

Had a positive experience. Everyone was polite, respectful and responsive to my needs. My new Dr was warm, interested and listened. I look forward to my relationship here and would recommend to everyone.

Outstanding! Dr. Seema was absolutely amazing. She was not only personable and kind, but she was able to help me within that 30 minutes than all doctor visits combined. I would HIGHLY recommend her. Im beyond blessed to have found her.

Honestly love it here. I’ve been going to Northwestern Specialists for my first pregnancy and have a lot of (potentially silly) questions. I’ve also called the on call doctor after hours for concerns that, luckily, ended up being nothing. All of the doctors, nurses, and staff have treated me with respect, kindness and patience. They’ve taken me seriously and have always made me feel comfortable. I’ve worked with about 4 doctors in the practice so far, all of whom have incredible bedside manner. They listen, explain things clearly, and balance humor with gravity. 10/10 recommend.

I’ve been with Dr. McMahon since 2014, it literally doesn’t seem that long. Through a miscarriage and 3 full pregnancies/births and continued care, she is unwavering in her delivery of care and compassion. I literally feel like Doc is “my girl!”Additionally, I have seen other providers and NP’s in the office and never felt as if they were simply proxying for Dr. Mahon but they too wished to provide the highest quality of care and attention to the person, not simply patient!I’m highly recommend this practice and of course my “favorite girl, Dr. Kimberly McMahon!”

Amazing! Thats all I can say! From the moment you check in, till the moment you leave it is unbelievable how kind, helpful, and friendly everyone is at this office! I was so taken aback because I am just not used to this level of professionalism and care! My nurse Mina was incredible! She sat with me, asked me questions to make certain she got to know me, as well as to be able to prepare Dr. Norlin for my appointment. Mina made CERTAIN that I was able to get in for a test, so that I did not have to leave and come back another day. She personally followed up with managers within the office to make sure they could take me! Who does that!! Thank you Mina!! Dr. Norlin is spectacular! Her patient care is top notch. You feel so at ease with her, can speak about anything and she truly listens. She goes step by step, explains what will happen during the appointment and addresses each and every one of your concerns! And actually comes up with solutions! She is a tremendous doctor. This is the fourth practice I have followed her to! Check out was just as pleasant! She was a doll! I cannot thank Dr. Norlin, Mina, and the rest of the staff enough for a wonderful experience! Everything is done inhouse!

This practice has calmed all my fears of birthing again. I appreciate the thoroughness, thoughtfulness and support. I have received information that I didnt receive when I had my first child. Im grateful that Dr. V is with me in this journey. She has chosen dedicated colleagues who are expectional in caring for patients.

Dr Wise and the practice have been shepherding me through many phases of life - from births to miscarriages to perimenopause, and they’ve done so with deep care, education, and clinical acumen that leaves me extremely grateful to be their patient.

I have been a patient here for ~10 years, and this practice is simply the best! My primary provider is Dr. Wise, who has gone above and beyond for me since becoming a patient of hers. Fast forward to the last 5 months - I’ve had the privilege of meeting the various doctors in the practice as part of my regularly cadenced prenatal visits and to no surprise, everyone has been wonderful! While each doctor has her own vibe, they all bring the same quality, care and knowledge each patient deserves. This practice gets my recommendation every time!

My mother saw Dr V for the first time she is elderly and told me she loved her Doctor but she was just so thankful for the receptionist who said she was so nice and helpful, she helped my mother and gave her a wonderful and caring experience. I had to even call the office to get her name Joana I am am thankful for caring people and it means a lot to me that she helped my mother got her a cup of water instead of showing her where the water was and helped her put her stuff down along with guiding her to the restroom. My mother is 76 and I was so afraid having her go to her appointment alone because of work but she insisted to going and not missing her appointment with Dr. V. Thank you front desk for your services , my mother did mention that her medical assistant was a little rude and didnt help her as much as the receptionist did , you would think that a medical assistant would be more helpful but despite that my mother will return because of the caring receptionist and amazing Doctor.

Dr. Wise is fantastic. She listens, she asks questions, she gives thoughtful medical advice, I trust her wholeheartedly. She never rushes through the exams. The office and nursing staff are very professional and organized. I have been her patient for over 10 years, and even though I moved further away and could easily find a provider closer to me, I would not dream of switching.

Dr McMahon is professional, thorough, caring and a great listener. I have referred many people to her and they all love her as well. She is the GOAT!

I saw Dr. Venkatachalam last week for a first trimester miscarriage and she made my difficult day much better. Her empathy seemed genuine even though she must see patients go through this routinely. I went in just for the medical attention that I needed and I wasn’t expecting anything more but I left feeling very supported and encouraged. Before and after my time with Dr. V, the front desk and clinic staff were warm, professional, and attentive. Everyone was wonderful and I really appreciate how I was treated.

Had a great experience with Dr. Edelman. This was my first appointment and she made me feel comfortable and talked through everything. I really felt like she was trying to get to know me and I didn’t not feel rushed.

NSW is the best practice in Chicago! Dr Wise and Dr Mazzullo delivered our babies and are so calm and caring, we loved our whole experience! All of the doctors and nurses are so competent.

I can’t say enough good things about this practice. Dr. Dugan-Kim followed me throughout my pregnancy and was, and continues to be post-baby, everything you want in a health provider- she is kind and compassionate, a good listener, incredibly competent and pro-active in her care, and helps guide you in what to expect. I rotated through almost all of the providers during my care, which is a model set up by the practice to make sure the patients have the chance to get to know the doctor who may be on call during delivery, and I was very satisfied in all of the visits. You can’t go wrong selecting a doctor here.

Update: Dr. Edelman recently delivered our first baby. It was such a lovely experience. She was incredibly supportive and motivating during the whole process. I felt so at ease with her, even though it was our first time meeting. I’ve had the opportunity to see Dr. Dugan, Dr. Mazzulo, Dr. Lederer, Dr. Norlin, Molly and Dana. Highly recommend all of them.Great group practice! The entire team has been so friendly and accommodating. I’ve already recommended this group to many friends and all have been very happy with their experiences.

Had a world class first appointment and experience here! Was referred here by some friends, and I’m so grateful. Everyone from the tech who helped us get settled in (Kiara), to nurse Molly (who is a saint and immediately eased my FTM nerves), and Dr. Edelman (who was so warm and attentive while we were nervous for our first ultrasound) were all just so amazing. Even the check-out receptionist was so kind! The facility itself is very nice, and everything in terms of logistics (like check-in, the handoffs from the doctor, to the lab, to checkout) went smoothly too - like a well oiled machine. Special shoutout to Melissa in the lab who did my bloodwork - I am usually told I have very difficult/small veins which always makes me dread bloodwork but she was a magician and was able to do it with no problems and was so sweet about comforting me. Loved her sense of humor! Everyone here made us feel so comfortable during an anxious time!

Just had my first appointment and I’m so happy to have found a practice where I feel like all of my concerns were heard — Dr. McMahon was reassuring and thorough, and I now have a plan to address a few of the indignities of menopause.

I would 10/10 recommend Northwestern Specialists. I primarily see Dr. Edelman & Dr. V delivered my first son. All the doctors are very attentive & personal, but also quick & efficient.

Although I had my annual exam with Dr. Lisa Mazzullo a few months ago, I recently needed to see her again and was really pleased they could work me in so quickly. Dr. Mazzullo is very knowledgeable and thorough and I am happy to have found such a competent gynecologist.

My first time ever going to Northwestern Specialists for women and the experience was great!! Everyone was so polite and friendly. The doctors took their time and heard me while also giving me information on things. I had a visit with Dr. Wise. She took her time explaining everything she was going to do and even asked if I was ok with it beforehand. A very sweet person. This is a place I would definitely go back to.

I have been seeing Dr. Wise for 20 years and she is fantastic. Something has changed in the office, however, it seems that multiple doctors were added and they are overwhelmed. The place was crowded, the team omitted to call me to schedule blood work in advance of my appointment and I have been calling for 3 days to schedule a follow up without a proper answer or call back.

Great experience with very professional doctors, NPs and PAs. Felt like my wishes were honored and my preferences were respected (I wanted to avoid a c section since I had a short maternity leave and had to go back to work in six weeks). Mom and baby were healthy and happy and couldn’t have asked for better care before during and after delivery. Will definitely travel back to Chicago for future care if I have another child.Dr Edelman and Dr Mazzullo did a great job taking care of me during my 30 hour labor and delivery, a vulnerable and scary time.

Northwestern Specialists for Women has been such a wonderful experience for more than 13 years. Dr. V delivered my one and only in 2012 and I’ve been seeing her ever since. I have had a wonderful experience with every staff member and doctor I have met here. My first child was born in another state and it was an extremely traumatic experience. The whole practice here made sure my second pregnancy and delivery was a redeeming and healing experience. Even though I ended up needing an emergency surgery while pregnant, I felt so informed, calm, cared for, and in control throughout the entire process. I felt the same way about my delivery this time around (ideal experience). I wouldn’t want to have a baby with any other group of doctors.

This is the only practice I’d trust to deliver my babies. I have 8+ friends that all go to Northwestern Specialists for Women - everyone from doctors to the check-in team is extremely knowledgeable and professional.

Dr. Ryan was absolutely incredible. She really took her time to understand where we were at in our family planning journey and provided us with the perfect amount of information and support for our first visit. She was able to conduct not only the informational portion of our visit to help us plan for starting our family , but also my annual pap, removal of my IUD (which was quick and painless), and she was also able to get both mine and my husbands genetic tests completed. We truly could not recommend her and her team enough. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Dr. Ryan and just absolutely love her. We are so happy to embark on this journey with her as she makes us feel so comfortable, confident, informed, and supported. Not to mention the fact that she is an overall decorated and acclaimed Doctor :).

This practice is horribly managed and does not have respect for your time. I commuted aoat 20 minutes, arrived to my appt well before the scheduled time, checked in online prior, waited k their office for 45 minutes only for them to tell me they cancelled my appt. Will not be returning. Their office staff was not communicative about the issue and was incredibly unhelpful. Recommend going elsewhere

I had an amazing experience at the Kingsbury location! The clinic is very clean, spacious and well organized. The staff were friendly and helpful. Eric was an absolute pleasure and so was Dr. McMahon. She is knowledgeable, kind and a sweetheart who made me feel comfortable. This was very important to me as it was my first time here. She listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. The visit did not feel rushed unlike my experience with other doctors. I went in for a second opinion regarding uterine fibroids and am relieved to say that Dr. McMahon confirmed I have different treatment options. I absolutely recommend The Northwestern Specialist for Women!

Ive had a great experience at NWSW since I moved to Chicago in 2021. While I was sad my old Doctor switched locations I was equally pleased today with my new Doctor. She was diligent, focused, knowledgeable, and had a very pleasing bedside manner. She answered my questions thoroughly, thoughtfully and without judgment - never making me feel rushed or brushed aside! I would happily recommend this practice to any one of my girlfriends.

There is no other Ob-GYN like Dr. LisaMazzullo. I say this at the risk of having to share her with even more devoted fans. (All the friends who I have loved enough to give Dr. Mazzullo‘s number have then thanked me profusely, for so many years.) Dr. Mazzullo listens, she remembers, she researches for you. She delivered all three of our kids, helped me through some difficult hormonal years, and has stayed with me as I continue to climb higher on the age chart than I ever imagined realistic. If she were my neighbor, she would probably have to get a restraining order against me. She’s that amazing- you’re so grateful she’s your doctor, you really also want to hang out with her. This practice is also friendly, professional and efficient.

I have been going here for three years. During my first pregnancy I went to two different practices to choose where I felt more comfortable and this was hands down the best experience. I have seen every doctor at the office to make sure I was comfortable with anyone at delivery. They are all wonderful. My main doctor is Dr. Ryan and she is wonderful. She kept me calm during my pregnancy and miscarriage. Scheduling is very convenient and the office is clean.We also love Patty, the ultrasound tech- she was very sensitive towards doing the ultrasounds during my miscarriage.

Dr. Edelman is incredible. She takes her time, is trauma informed, & so gentle. She truly knows her stuff & I’m so thankful for her allowing me to take our appointments at the pace I need to go at. I recommend her to all of my vulva having friends!

I’ve been coming here the last 3 years, first as a gynecology patient and now as an OB patient for my first pregnancy. I never had any issues or concerns as a gynecology patient and felt like the providers always worked with me to find the best plan of care for my needs and wants. I have had a wonderful experience thus far as an OB patient. I am a patient of Dr. Salasche’s, and she is warm and friendly but doesn’t beat around the bush, which I really appreciate. The other providers I’ve seen have also been very friendly. I have really appreciated that they have squeezed me in and treated me quickly on multiple occasions when I was experiencing some mild concerning symptoms. Most of my appointments have run on time and the rest of the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend this practice!

I love my doctor Bonnie Wise. She’s been my doctor for 25 years. There’s nothing like having someone know you and your history and to go to a place that is personal and has a history of excellence.

I switched to Northwestern Specialists for Women a little less than a year ago because i wasn’t totally happy with my current Doctor and a friend referred Dr V. to. Everyone is so pleasant and professional. I have had an amazing experience with Nurse Practitioner, Dana Sullivan. She is very patient and explains things. I am very happy I made the switch!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Salasche for a few years. She helped me deliver my first child and is now my care provider on an annual basis. I really appreciate her professionalism and attentiveness. During my last annual check-up, she was able to add on services for a mammogram and blood work all in one appointment instead of having me schedule additional appointments and waste my time coming back to the office on multiple occasions. I love an office that is dynamic and understands that your time is valuable.

Dr Lisa Mazullo is a wonderful specialist! I have been working with her for many years, I can’t be more grateful I met her! The rest of the business unfortunately doesn’t run well. The office erroneously schedule the appointment at a wrong time and are not accommodating to correct the mistake but rather send you back to the general scheduling phone number where they can easily schedule you within next 3-5 months…. Unless you take time and effort to complain involving your treating MD in the complaint process…. The “Request the medical records” option in the phone system is a dead end voicemail. Nobody returns your calls unless you show up in person (2 weeks and 3 voicemails in my case). And even then it’s not clear for the staff how to get the records and they are very eager to say sorry that they can’t help unless you continue to push and insist… The phlebotomists are highly skilled and pleasant to work with!

The overall top experience I’ve ever had at a yearly obgyn appt. The staff was kind & efficient, and Dr. McMahon was outstanding at keeping the routine exam quick and comfortable, as well as making sure we covered overall wellness. The practice is also just very organized from what I’ve seen, which is lovely.

Dr. Salasche was the first doctor that I booked an appt with when we relocated to Chicago 11 years ago. She came highly recommended from a friend. Since, she has helped our family add two little babies to our crew, managed my health, and coached me through appropriately set up my health management plan due to my family’s high risk of breast and uterine cancer. She is brilliant, professional, approachable, never judgmental, and patient centric (she wants to meet and see pix of the babies for sure but it’s clear that I am her first and foremost concern and that feels amazing!) I also had the pleasure of getting to know the whole NWSW team during prenatal/pregnancy/postpartum checkups. Stellar. Highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Mazullo is amazing, understanding, caring, just fantastic! Always has great feed back and is always ready to answer any of your questions. I started my care with her in 2018, had my baby girl 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, she made my experience beyond perfect even with any and all complications. After 3 years of not seeing her, (moved to suburbs) she still remembers my history, family and my daughter’s name. You can’t go wrong with this amazing lady. Beyond the years of knowledge is her expertise and care for her patients.

While Dr. Edleman was my primary doctor, after complications that lead to a 5week hospital stay, I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know each of the other doctors quite well. I’ve had great experiences with NSFW. Most recently I had my initial pregnancy appointment.It was the first time Ive ever had a speculum involved procedure that didnt hurt. I felt very listened to and validated when I asked for a smaller speculum and got one.Also they are queer friendly- my wife and I have never felt othered, only embraced.

Good luck trying to get your medical records from this office. I’ve been calling for over a week and haven’t heard a thing from them. I got my records from Northwestern and North Shore within 48 hours of a request, but this place is stuck in the 90s when it comes to technology so it’s not like I can request anything other than by leaving multiple voice mails. They don’t even have a fax number or any sort of Mychart where I can get any records. Oh and forget about being treated well as a patient here unless you’re lululemon clad trophy wife who’s going to pop out a couple brats, I’ve never been so rudely treated by a doctor’s office in my life as when I went there. And the only reason I ended up going there was because my doctor who I loved at North Shore didn’t take the insurance I had at a new job. So now that have to go to a new doctor since I moved out of Chicago, without several years of my medical records that cover some really important details and that could cause me to not receive the care or testing that I need to have done.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Lisa Mazzullo for 27 years. She delivered my son and from that moment onward I knew I wanted to remain with her for as long as I could. Dr Mazzullo is the most caring doctor, always giving her patients 100% of whatever time is needed and listens to your concerns. She cares about the complete woman, not just OBY/GYN topics. Her knowledge is deep about health and wellness and I trust her with my medical needs.

I LOVE Dr. Venkatachalam! She is so warm and professional, friendly and efficient. My experience today at the office (in March 2024) was different. Not Dr. V because she is still amazing. The office was confusing today.There are no signs as to where the mammograms are, there’s a new checkout which I thought was check-in for the mammogram. And I was supposed to check in twice, once before the mammogram and then after that for the Dr. visit. I will continue to come as long as Dr. V is there. I know there are a lot of new things right now so hopefully it will be a clearer process next time.

Dr. Ryan is absolutely incredible. While I only see her annually, it is such a wonderful appointment through and through when I do. She takes the time to thoroughly listen to my concerns, helps me think through potential treatments, and leaves me feeling in control of my health. I also appreciate her correspondence and the correspondence of her exceptional team of nurse practitioners! The practice’s team of administrators, phlebotomists, and mammogram technicians are also wonderful. I will remain loyal to a practice that really cares for its patients. I’ve gone back and forth with leaving a review because throughout my entire pregnancy I’ve never had an issue with my doctor herself. However, the administration and some providers have left a terrible taste in my mouth. Messages aren’t followed up on, prescriptions have taken weeks to fill, almost always running behind and 15 minute appointments become 90 minutes with waiting to just be rushed out of the room. I’ve had an issue with a specific provider and requested to not see or talk to her again and to have the manager call me- provider still contacts me and manager never called. I’m now dealing with their billing department. I’ve called twice and left messages with no call back. They take payment automatically with no problem, but don’t seem to find time to return calls and answer questions. My doctor and a few others are phenomenal, however, after my 6 week pp appointment I will be looking for a new provider because I will not be returning due to the lack of follow through from other providers/administration. I work in healthcare and am blown away by the way this office is run.

Dr. Wise is a caring and compassionate medical provider. I never feel rushed when Im seeing her and she is always happy to answer my questions. Coming from a negative experience with my prior provider, finding Dr. Wise was the best thing I could have done for my gynecological health.

Had my annual check up with Dr. Wise who was so patient and calm the entire appointment, answering all my questions. I never felt rushed and was able to talk through everything that I wanted to bring up. So refreshing after so many other doc appts seem to rush you in and out that you forget half of what you want to say.

Dr. Wise is beyond knowledgeable. Her warm and caring demeanor are exactly what make each visit enjoyable and comfortable. The support teams are excellent. A well run and thoughtful organization all around!

Specialists consisting of wonderful doctors, nurses and staff that are helpful and knowledgeable. All of my questions and concerns have always been addressed at every visit. During emergencies they put you at ease and you never feel alone. My daughter and I were truly cared for and Im so happy that a place like Northwestern Specialists for women exists.

I was so excited to come to my first prenatal appointment. I moved around my schedule and got a full day nanny to make it to this appointment. Showed up at my appointment time, was turned away saying I was supposed to get there 30 minutes before my appointment to check in….! Excuse me, who goes to a doctors appointment 30 minutes before the appointment time?Checked all my confirmation emails and reminders, no where it says I should be there 30 minutes before my appointmentScheduling department lady told me she can’t book another appointment for me because they are too busy, and she will call me when she can schedule. She never called…Cried on the way back home. Not coming back here again

Dr. McMahon and the entire practice have been a pleasure to work with! Dr. McMahon is very thorough and knowledgeable and a very calming presence. She helped me navigate an unexpected hiccup at my most recent appointment with much reassurance and grace.

I have had a great experience with Dr Edelman and the team at Northwestern Women’s Specialists. Dr Edelman listens and readily answers my questions. I also appreciate how well she explains things. I always leave feeling empowered in knowing more about what’s going on in my body. She also performed myomectomy, which as far as surgeries go has been a good experience

I absolutely love Dr. Edelman. She is incredibly welcoming, friendly, kind, and empathetic, while still being transparent and insightful. This was my first pregnancy and truthfully I was very anxious but every doctor at this practice was always able to answer every question I had and never made me feel dumb or dramatic. They explained every test done and managed my expectations accordingly. I now have a healthy baby boy and am so grateful for them. I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone looking for an OBGYN. I can not thank them enough.

I met Dr Edelman 2-3 years ago and since then I have sent every friend to her. She is an unbelievable provider with excellent bedside manner and an extremely therapeutic approach. I was especially impressed when I switched practices to come see her, my initial appointment to establish care she spent over 30 minutes getting to know me before she even had me change to begin the exam. always feel blessed to have such an amazing ob/gyne so close to home.
